On the 29/3/2020 I had a dream that I was walking through a city, not sure where. The square/mall/Centre was quiet, the restaurants had hardly any diners, the movie theatre was empty, the music hall deserted except for the band. As I kept walking past empty shops and restaurants, I heard a nose and started walking towards it. What was packed and thriving with life was the large venue that was having a church service. I walked into the hallway, past the curtains, I could hear the worship ringing out, I was welcomed by a young person and my face lit up as my heart leapt for joy.
Alive and Active
Right now we have a unique opportunity to show people that the church is still alive and active because we are the church. Yes we miss gathering together corporately, but thankfully we can still connect, we can still encourage and spur one another on to do good deeds. More than ever those around us need us to reach out, to comfort them, encourage them and give them hope.
In my dream I was so excited that the church was thriving with life, packed with people and I pray that when this is all over churches around the world will be jammed FULL!
Now more than ever we see John 10:10 at work, the enemy is trying his hardest to steal and kill and destroy us, he’s trying to divide and isolate us, BUT Jesus’ Message is still the same – that we may have and enjoy life, in fact have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows.
We have HOPE and we can share that hope with others. Hallelujah!
I pray that a wildfire of Hope races through your heart this week, empowering you and granting you a boldness like never before.
Nothing has changed
We are in ‘uncharted waters’, unprecedented times, so people are feeling understandably afraid. Be encouraged today by my friend Annette Mace’s words:
“ At a time where it seems everything has changed…..
…… nothing has changed.
God is still on His throne (Ps 102:12).
The wind & waves remain at His command (Matt 8:23-27).
He still and always WILL supply ALL our needs (Phil 4:19).
His promises still stand (Joshua 23:14)
He is still forgiving, still blessing, still protecting.
His calling & purpose for your life has not been altered (Numbers 23:19).
Remain focused on our Lord, who guides, guards and governs.”
• The church is still alive because we are alive.
“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (AMP)
• The church WILL be alive and thriving when this crisis passes.
Let us rejoice for we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken! Let us show our gratitude, our thankfulness, and offer God pure worship that delights His heart. Let us lay down our lives in absolute surrender, with reverence and awe (Hebrews 12:28).
